The Hackathon of Lights

About Hackathonukah

Hackathonukah is the hackathon of lights. It is a 25 hour technology event that celebrates lights, programming, hardware and The Internet of Things. This event will bring together the diverse talent found in the greater New York technology community to build cool stuff, eat Hanukkah-themed food, and have fun!

Hackathonukah will feature smart lighting and connected devices, such as SmartThings, LIFX, and Philips Hue, and the integration of novel and exciting sensors, such as Thalmic Myo and Microsoft Kinect (read more about our tech here). Participants can compete for prizes for both the connected devices projects as well as general app/website development.

Additionally, beginners can attend one of our technology crash course that will dive into the basics of programming/hardware hacking and build a project of their own!

When: Saturday, December 13th at 7:00 PM - Sunday, December 14th at 8:00 PM

Where: New York Code + Design Academy (90 John St #404, New York, NY 10038)
